4-DOF Version: In many specific scenarios, 4 degrees of freedom are more than sufficient. This version is simpler to operate while providing an identical learning experience and educational outcome for robotics students.
- 6-DOF Version: This upgrade adds a horizontal rotating base and a rotating gripper servo for enhanced dexterity. Because the gripper can occasionally move outside the primary depth camera’s field of view, the 6-DOF version includes an additional RGB camera. This allows for advanced functions such as static object sorting and more complex manipulation tasks.
